SIM900A is a GSM/GPRS (Global System for Mobile Communications/General Packet Radio Service) module produced by SIMCom Wireless Solutions. It is a compact and reliable module that can be easily integrated into various applications that require wireless connectivity, such as remote monitoring and control systems, automotive systems, and smart metering systems.
The module supports quad-band GSM frequencies (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and can be used worldwide. It also supports GPRS class 10 with maximum download and upload speeds of 85.6 kbps. SIM900A can be controlled using AT commands through a serial interface (UART), making it easy to integrate with software applications.
